How do I get from the airport to Antigua?
We’ll share three reliable transportation contacts you can reach out to through WhatsApp or email to arrange your airport pickup and drop-off directly (you’ll pay the driver). Their information will be listed on the Travel & Lodging page. If you prefer, Uber and local taxis are also great options.
Do I need a visa to enter Guatemala?
Guests from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and most EU countries do not need a visa for stays under 90 days. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after travel.
Is Antigua safe for tourists?
Yes. Antigua is one of the most visited and safest cities in Guatemala. As with all travel, be mindful of belongings and avoid walking alone late at night.
Where should I stay?
Antigua is full of charming boutique hotels, restored colonial homes, and beautiful Airbnbs. We’ve included a list of recommended stays on our website to help you choose the perfect spot.
What currency does Guatemala use?
The Guatemalan Quetzal (GTQ). Most places accept cards, but we suggest carrying a small amount of cash for markets and taxis.
